Who is this Person?

Welcome to my world!

My name is Linda, and I’ll be your guide for this trip. We’ll be visiting many different places and exploring a multitude of things. There’s very little about this world that I don’t like or find interesting. I love learning. I love being in awe. I love mixing things up. (and I love memes)

I currently reside in Southern California, but grew up on the East Coast in upstate New York. During the time in between, I’ve managed to live in a few other places in the USA, as well as around the world. Where I haven’t lived, I’ve tried to visit. So, I’ve had the opportunity to experience many different things. (I’ve managed to collect a lot of weird things, too) I found this large world can sometimes be very small, and different peoples turn out to be very similar in basic ways.

I have three grown beautiful children and two fabulous grandchildren. Plus a dog and a cat. Love them all dearly. For now, I’m an armchair explorer. My health hasn’t agreed with me the last few years. Perhaps the tropical diseases I experienced while traveling weakened my system. I’ll probably never know what within my body suddenly clicked, but I currently suffer from Fibromyalgia. Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, Thyroid Disease, and a host of other illnesses. Things never come in ones, you know? So, the body doesn’t let me get around much, anymore; but the mind travels everywhere.

I love books and the computer. Reading and acquiring knowledge and sharing with others. I love writing. Currently I’m working on a Thriller novel, “A Stranger Watches”. I’m sure I’ll be keeping you apprised of its progress. I’ve read and loved all genres of books, including mystery. Puzzles are fun. Add a big thrill and a chill, and you get a Thriller. A mystery that gets your heart pumping! Wonderful!

I love space and would love to get a seat on a space shuttle. Man, how terrific would that be? Can you imagine looking back at the Earth from space? The big things amaze me, but so do the small ones. Enjoying flowers, so lovely and aromatic; watching bees hover in the orange tree blossoms; listening to birds singing their beautiful songs; and seeing the hummingbirds in the sweet Jasmine. My dog and the cat are constant entertainment, and my family makes me laugh so hard the tears come, and I have to cross my legs (you know what I’m talking about). So many things around us to celebrate.

I’ve discovered that life really is what you make it. I’ve had really bad (and horrible) times and I’ve had really good ones. Through it all, I discovered I had a choice. I was the one who had the power to decide how I would accept, react, and live my life, despite all the outside influences that affected me. So, I choose life, beauty, wonder, joy, learning, sharing, being kind….all those things that belonged to us when we were children and didn’t know to hold onto those parts of ourselves.

So, let’s explore through all the good things in life. I hope you’ll enjoy this journey with me. (By the way, the answer to life really is 42)

Take care,

Linda Williams Stirling

  1. I see you’re interested in crime fiction and forensics. I’ve been doing some research on crimes committed while sleepwalking. Many interesting cases. Google ‘sleep crimes’.
